It's a different way to play catch and more of a challenge so my girls enjoy it especially since it's different!! This set is made much better and looks way cuter than the plain Jane ones we had before. Love the design! It's fun playing catch with my 9 and 7 yr old kids. I'm thinking of buying another set so we can play with 4 people. My four year old's hand fit comfortably within the velcro area and when readjusted it held very securely. The ball is a plush style, so it is lightweight, easy to throw and doesn't hurt if it hits you. The velcro on the Critter Catcher front is very strong, and after hours of use it has not diminished in quality. The shark look is s huge hit in our house, as is the different colors used for the two catchers. I got this for my son and I to play with and we had a blast! The back strap adjusts so no matter how small your hands are, you can adjust it to fit to your hand size. He had such a good time throwing the ball and catching it like a big boy. The ball sticks very well to the Velcro and was a little hard for him to pull off at times, but that is not a huge problem. These are made with a very nice quality plastic and has held up very nicely to his rough play. I haven't seen these in a long time. This is something I remember very well from my childhood. Watching my children play with these brought back many memories. These are not heavy. They are easy to play with. You do not need too much instruction for playing with these. The packing was just right. Because you could see exactly what you're getting. I would make one change because I feel it interfered with the ball sticking. I would make the tag on the ball smaller. It has a very large tag in the ball that seems to make it not stick to the velcro. The ball is very soft. And it is lightweight. I feel comfortable letting my kids play with this inside the house. Without them damaging things or getting hurt. Overall, this is fun. It is something you can teach your kids and get in some quality time with them. You can take this with you on trips or play at home. Trust me your children young and old will want to play with this. It is fun for everyone. This would be good just because or as a gift. I recommend this to anybody. It is designed well enough that you can enjoy it.
