She said her hair was soft and her accessories were fun little additions. She was a bit disappointed that the elbows and knees did not bend and but said it wasn't a big deal. It does seem as though this doll will need certain clothes from her line though because we had a hard time getting regular Barbie doll clothes over her hips. I love the fact that it shows a real life skin tone and body shape. The new packaging was also a nice addition so that she can go back in it to be stored.</span>

My daughter pulled it out of the box and was immediately delighted by the fact that the doll looks just like her aunt in shape, size, skin tone, and even style. She even calls it her "Tia *name of aunt* Barbie". Representation is so important for our little ones and it was such a proud moment for me to be able to see my daughter excited about a doll that looks like her family. The doll itself feels high quality and durable and has so far stood up well to the less than gentle treatment of a little girl. As a mom, I also really like the zip up carrying case that the doll came in which makes it easy to put away and store until the next day's adventure. A huge thank you to Mattel for representing people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and abilities with this line. We will definitely be on the look out for other toys like this.</span>
