The pup is really cute and even without it's &quot;voice&quot; it still brought joy to the kiddos. The 'leash' is really easy to assemble, just click it together and click it to the pups collar and away the kids went. Tracks little bobble head &amp; his floppy ears while being walked by the kiddos is really quite a sight. So I guess the batteries aren't really a must, at least not for us. It appears well made of quality material and quite durable.The Fur Real toy is very unique in that the pup is in a wheel chair and it &quot;walks &quot; with the wheels moving as you push the leash.&nbsp; You know the puppy&nbsp; likes going for a walk because she&nbsp; makes sweet little sounds&nbsp; as you walk her.
