Upon first seeing him they called him &quot;cute&quot; and we used the fast mode to wake him up. They loved the interactions, especially the music and the sneezing. I was very pleasantly surprised that Thready Bear has remained popular in our house, we even have to take turns for bedtime! Thready Bear has sparked a lot of imaginative play-he has been taken to pretend ice cream parlours, shops and cafes which has been a really nice and very surprising result, especially when older children are involved. I have found no difficulties with getting Thready Bear to work-the instructions were thorough and easy to follow and we have had no issues with any of the functions. The girls were so excited to see what she could do. They loved that she came alive with her features. They did find it a little difficult at first to get her to do what they wanted but after a little practice they knew exactly how to get her copying and mimicking them. My daughter seems to love the bear, but personally I wouldn't pay the rrp the bear is. It doesn't make 70 plus noises it only makes a few which don't make sense and are just random noises no educational uses to it. It's eyes squint a few times and seems to then stop working, it's doesn't seem to respond well to the heart been pressed or the hand squeezed. It&rsquo;s a cute toy, if a bit heavy, but that&rsquo;s because of all the mechanics for the eyes and neck movement. It certainly made us both laugh and go awwww at times! I think although the noises are cute it would be good to have some more clear words especially for younger kids (I&rsquo;m sure it says something very close to cuddle!). The head isn&rsquo;t very squidgy/cuddly, so my boy preferred to put him to bed in his own space rather than cuddle him at night. We did feel guilty when we accidentally dropped him and he sounded like he cried! My children had lots of fun playing with him, he has been played with everyday. It does take a long time to get all of the reactions and expressions out of him, we have no where experienced the 70+ expressions the description advises. My 2 year old was very scared of him for the first week. We like the fact he can sing and open and close his eyes. He even sleeps and snores!
