It had such a fun twist on the original game, it felt completely different than The Game Of Life I played as a kid growing up. We all took turns moving the dinosaurs around the board during their turn, since our children wanted to have a turn doing it, which did make it a tiny bit confusing when it came to start going around for our own turns again. Since you move the dinosaurs at the end of each set of turns, the person who goes first usually moves the dinosaurs before going again. So you can see how confusion would set in if you don't do it that way. We found the game easy (once we understood the directions) and very fun. It is an easy add to our family game night favorites for me. I do not think younger children could play with out an adult helping them. My youngest (5) teamed up with Dad so that worked out for us and everyone else seemed to understand but even the 12 y/o needed a reminder to grab an egg from the nest as they passed (or something here and there) since their are a bunch of tiny bits like that to remember. My children did not enjoy playing The Game Of Life Junior so they were concerned they may not like this one either.
