Super cute design that lights up, i do wish it had some type of audio little music playing on the stage but overall not a big concern. Comes with plenty of accessories and 3 characters. Stage has little lights in the backdrop and the moon hanging up also doubles as a sort of swinging seat for fancy performances. It's size makes it larger than the typical Polly Pocket, but it allows for more play time and imaginative play. Both of my daughters (age 7 and 3) absolutely love being able to change out the various decor to make the scene look different every time. Multiple combinations make for hours of play. We had been unable to find a suitable replacement, until now. This set is adorable! There are so many accessories and a myriad of little surprises to discover while playing. The dolls are the perfect size while being sturdy (they stand up to my rough 5-year-old). All of my kids can enjoy this toy and that means mom gets a minute of peace. Definitely need small fingers to play with the toy. Lots of little pieces to switch around and change play scenarios. Little cardboard cut outs also to place and add to the scene. Personally not a fan of cardboard. That being said it works for the toy. Includes lots of pieces to play with to create imaginative play. However, the pieces did not hold well. The purple star kept breaking when they tried to close. Since many pieces are made out of a thick paper, they would tear or bend easily. Granted the pieces are supposed to be small but they just didnt hold up well and were lost. The compact comes with twinkling lights, a spinning stage, moon swing, concession stand and two different backgrounds to put on an all star show. There are several cutouts that can be placed in star shaped stands so the possibilities of a new set are endless. Upon opening my daughter played for hours setting the stage and putting her polly pocket dolls in the audience. She made a rock band performance and a drama film too! The pieces are quite easy to set up with little to no assistance from me (the momma). The locking mechanism on the compact holds all of the pieces inside without worry that the compact will open and dump pieces on the ground. My daughter loved pulling all of the pieces out of the package and setting up the different scenes. Even though there are so many little pieces they all fit perfectly inside and close up to be carried around. This works great for traveling or for keeping little ones entertained on airlines or at restaurants. It seems really well made and keeps my six year old entertained for hours. The interchangeable pieces give great imagination options. There are movable stands for the pieces to go in. My daughter loves playing with it. She struggles a little with getting the pieces on the small pegs but with some patience she usually can get it. It does come in 2 pieces but locks together easily. You will need a screwdriver for the batteries to make it light up.
