<span itemprop="description">I bought the racer for my grandkids based upon having purchased the original yellow coup for my daughter back in the early eights and she loved it. It lasted until she grew too big to even sit in it. It was a very durable coup and assembled well without any problems. However, this model is NOTHING like the earlier version. While it looks really sporty, it is not of the same quality, and I don't anticipate it lasting as my daughter's. The material is not as durable, the assembly is below average with difficult fitting parts. It is a shame that little tikes have obviously dropped the original version for a cheaper product such as this. Over the years I have purchased little tikes toys and was never disappointed until now. The only reason I gave it two stars is based upon it's looks and nothing else.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Hard to put together the pieces were off so you have to put pressure on the parts to work . It seems very unsafe and not well designed for plastic pieces.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought the black jet racer for my grandson. The assembly was unacceptable because the holes for the back wheel axle were not aligned. Also , this plastic car requires a drill for the hand breaks. We figured it all out but really ? Little Tikes can do better than this!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was very excited to purchase this item for my children. I have fond memories of playing with this as a child myself. Assembly was pretty simple and straightforward but the quality of the steering handle covers is lacking. They do not sit flush and there is not enough thread on the screws to tighten it down so there is a gap. This gap gives the appearance of low quality.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This review is not lost on me that it's a toy and a toy for a youngster. It's going to get greatly overused, abused and hopefully loved. Heck, we are Little Tikes advocates based on other toys we own plus the fact I owned the 1980's yellow version of this car, which I LOVED. Parts are good, concept good but assembly a bear since manufacturing is off.
1- Star - Sport Racer #1 No holes cut out in body of car, making assembly non-existent. I could cut holes myself but worried all parts would align properly. Calling customer service.
4 - Stars - Customer Service was top notch. Took my request professionally and responded promptly. Shipping was a bit slow and when requested tracking #, they expedited shipping; much appreciated since it's holiday season.
2 - Stars - Sport Racer #2 Material is good, instructions are thorough and packing fine. However, mounting holes in the body of the car are manufactured poorly. Mounting clips for front axle would not fit in holes and required further drilling. Holes for steering columns not centered; functionally fine but cosmetically off, see pic. Holes for rear axle slightly off but after muscling, able to fit. Steering cover holes slightly off and reamed out to fit properly; still making covers cosmetically not aligned (see pic).
Stickers were high quality but once they're on, they're on. Recommend cutting them apart, with backing still attached, and mock-up placement. No alignment markings on car for stickers so they're at the mercy of your eyes.
If I had read this reviewing, I WOULD purchase again. Open immediately to confirm body of car has mounting holes. Easy to repackage since all parts (except wheels) are self contained in one box. Embarrassed this toy is manufactured in the USA, manufacturing needs refining.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My kids who are 34, 27 and 25 had an earlier sport car like this and loved it so much! We loaned it to three other families between and after they outgrew it and it was loved by all. I am so glad you are making it again! I ordered one for our church nursery. The steering and pedals make this our most popular vehicle!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this for my granddaughter for her 5th birthday. I love the sporty style of it!! It's good sized and pretty easy to pedal. She just got it so I'm not sure how durable it will be, but it seems pretty sturdy. The rear wheel steering is a bit challenging to get used to. My granddaughter is small for her age and she fits in it fine, but her cousin who is also 5 is too big for it. This was very frustrating to assemble, and several pieces didn't seem to fit correctly, things didn't line up right. We put it together in 2.5 hours to the best of our ability. It is one of her favorite birthday gifts!!</span>
