It's a smaller size, which is fine, but the biggest issue is the light. It's dim and very uneven. When we have the pegs in and turn it on some seem fairly bright while others are almost completely dark. My kids still play with it and use the design papers that come with it but they don't even really turn on the lights because it doesn't make a difference.</span>

My kids have been entertained and engaged for over an hour each time I take this box out for them to play with. It works great rainy days! The board is bigger than I remember from childhood and there are a ton of pegs to allow for imaginative play. I wasn't impressed with the brightness of the pegs as they looked the same in daylight. You can only see it light up if you're in a dark room, but then the dark lighting is not conducive to kids play though. There are also 6 templates included so that you can plug in the pegs and match the picture. My kids weren't too interested in the template options and have been creating their own artwork. Overall great toy to keep your kids entertained.</span>

It had probably been 25 years since I had seen one but luckily the learning curve is pretty low.
It took 2 seconds for me to explain to my son how to play with it and off he was! Such nostalgia watching my little one playing with a Lite Brite!
He focused on it and was able to follow the template and was very proud of his picture - unfortunately not all of the pegs lit up though, the board seems to be slightly defective and has a few dark spots, but it didn’t affect his ability to enjoy playing!</span>

What I say: Cool update of the classic I remember! I was excited to show this to my kids. My daughter was so excited and claimed it as hers. She plays with it the most (but she hoards it from her brothers). She enjoys making patterns on it. She really enjoys that it makes a pop sound when you push the pegs in. (Kids and pop-it’s I guess, they like the pop.) I like that the pieces are pretty easy to put in, and I agree there’s a cool little pop, especially the first time they go in and pop the material behind the grid. The paper patterns are pretty straight forward, though it goes on top of the grid so you have to trust the hole is right behind the letter to push the peg in. So far, they mostly are. The light has an easy to use button on the back. When it’s on it’s on, or push the button for it to pulse/blink. Random option for the light. It uses batteries instead of plugging in. Not many, just 2-3 standard batteries you probably have around. It’s already provided lots of entertainment for my girl. And her brother when she shares. :)</span>

It is smaller than the old version. When you press to put the pegs in, it tips over. Fun but as others said there's not many lights so you can barely see the pegs light up. Also the one we received didn't have enough pegs for the paper designs. They were alway one or two short of the colors that were on the sheets. To change the design papers, you have to unscrew 8 screws and then screw them back in-Ugh.</span>

It’s easy to use, the pegs fit great in the board, and they stay put really well. There are also plenty of pegs to create the provided designs or your own. The light button is large and easy to find and use. I love that there are several light features to add an extra flair to the toy. The biggest issue is that the stand feels really cheap and it doesn’t stay up well. It’s easier to use it laying down compared to standing up, which I don’t love. It’s also not as bright as I was hoping, but it’s still a great toy.</span>

There are some bright spots throughout the lite-brite rather than uniform brightness. Some spots did not appear to light up at all. On the plus side, it did come with a lot of pegs with many different colors that go in and out of the lite-brite very easily, but my daughter would have liked more pegs to be able to fill up more of the board. It comes with a few design ideas and more can be printed online. It needs three AA batteries that are not included but they are easily installed.</span>
