He was over the moon excited to have his very own remote control and I was over the moon excited how easy the set up was. Simply plug in the usb into a HDMI cable and then HDMI into my TV and set up on the tv. Various options, and very entertaining. Best of all it's educating. Be advised that it does require 2 AA batteries, it wasn't a deal breaker for us especially having 3 boys around the house. I love the LeapFrog brand in general, as I've been a mom for 8 years, I've purchased many of their various toys, games, and products. I am quite impressed with this one in particular. My child is able to play, learn, and grow! The best part, he didn't get bored easily as some of the other games he's tried with other brands. This particular Paw Patrol to the rescue kept him focused, and eager to learn and explore more adventures. Setup is easy . HDMI stick goes into one of the outputs and the controller is wireless. It&rsquo;s easy to use with just a directional pad and 2 buttons . Since she has gotten this she has been on the iPad and YouTube a lot less . It has so many different learning games to keep them busy all day long .from saving kittens as a firefighter , to fixing cars as a mechanic. She loves it plus it&rsquo;s paw patrol.Definitely worth every penny . Rather her playing games where she learns then not . As long as you have a tv with usb and HDMI. The picture quality is amazing and I love how the games are easy enough for my little girl to play, plus she learns as well. There are 12 missions where she can control the character to drive, fly and run avoiding obstacles and solving problems. There is also five player profiles that saves the game so the whole family can have their own profile. This is perfect if you have more than one child or friends that want to play along. I really wish I had something like this for when my oldest was younger or even myself. Inside the box, you get a wireless controller, HDMI game stick and a USB power cable. Setting up the video game was super simple and within a few minutes we were ready to go! The included start guide was very detailed and walks you through each step of set up. You do need 2 AA batteries for the controller. My little one quickly caught on how to operate the controller and he is now able to independently use it on his own. This game does not require Wi-Fi so you can play it anywhere. There are so many games on here for my little one to enjoy! He loves playing all the various games and has so much fun with the missions and the quick challenges. His older sibling even loves to play! As a Mom, I am glad that this is not only a fun game but also an educational game! We have used this video game so many times already and it works as good as the day we got it. I highly recommend this learning video game by LeapFrog.
