It was a breeze to get out of the box and also had batteries already installed. My little one is about a year and half old and easily picked up on how to use it! She says “cheese” every time she plays with it! It helps with colors, numbers, shapes and the cute animals on the “pictures” she takes. It also has a little wrist strap to carry around as well as storing the photos on it. It has 5 photo cards that tells you about all the shapes ,colors, ect. The view finder lens has different colors when you look through it and turn the wheel. The zoom lens can be turned to hear opposites such as day and night. The photo pop up is so neat that it just glides up to take out and change to another card easily. We absolutely love it and have had so much fun learning new things. It has makes the sound of a camera and plays and says cute little songs and phrases! I would definitely recommend this toy because it’s loads of fun while learning!!</span>

The camera will tell you how many animals are on the picture. You can "focus" the camera and take a picture. When you are done, you push the eject button and the picture pops up like an instant picture.
