<span itemprop="description">This LR 13000 is an incredible build. The technical requirements involved with the motorization and functionality is super impressive. LEGO has quite an achievement with this engineering marvel. The build required a great deal of concentration and patience, but it was also straightforward and organized. Even the steps involving the intricate threading were very well detailed. All the crane functions worked correctly, too. The value is excellent - don’t view this on a price per piece basis. The crane is enormous - much bigger than you would think for 2800+ pieces. Plus, all the motors and battery packs are included, which also must be factored into the overall value of this set. Well done, LEGO!!!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I give this model 4/5 stars. It was an exciting build and loads of fun to play with. I deduct a point for lack of fine details. I recall the Cat D11 and the R9800 had nice details such as an engine and ladders. I also found that while it is an incredible model, it didn’t have any advanced or intricate building techniques; which I always love to see. Lastly the price point, which I know everyone complains about… I understand that the costs associated with this model are high, however I feel the overall value of this set has not met its price.</span>

<span itemprop="description">First of all, this is a MONSTER. I didn't think it would be this big. Building was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. It's probably the best designed and sturdiest Lego build I've done. The hardest part for me was running the string for the pully system that moves the arms. The string that raises and lowers the hook is over 20 feet long. I made one mistake on one of the crawler track assemblies and instead of all yellow on the side, I have black section, but I'm not going to take it apart and try to fix it. (I tried to upload photos, but it wouldn't let me)</span>

Bien qu’un peu peu difficile à monter (parfois les instructions ne sont pas très claires et le système d’accrochage des différentes parties peut s’avérer pénible : il faut faire passer des dents dans des trous et ça peut coincé) mais le résultat est bluffant.
Déjà le modèle est énorme et très imposant et le contrôle via l’appli est génial. Il faut calibrer le modèle au fur et à mesure via l’appli et le fait qu’elle opère comme la grue en télécommandée est vraiment pas mal. C’est une joie de la voir bouger dans tout les sens et on a hâte de la conduire.
Alors oui les flèches ne sont pas comme sur le modèle original et certes elle est onéreuse mais on comprend très vite pourquoi une fois le modèle réalisé.
Prévoyez de la place. C’est un monstre !!!

Powering up always takes about 10 Minutes. Every time I start the hubs it says "New Firmware Available." Then about 5 minutes to "Updating Firmware." Then the second Hub.... and if I am not right there to move the app along it shuts down the hub and requires another restart with new firmware available... My experience is that these hubs are supposed to remember the programming and not require new firmware updating for every power up. What is wrong with these hubs?
Secondly, Rechargeable batteries will not work in the hubs. These hubs need to be redesigned to use rechargeable batteries. The lower voltage triggers a "Low battery" very soon after installing. In today's world we need to be using rechargeables.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have to admit when I first thought to buy this set I was torn between my love of heavy movers specifically cranes and the value of this set at such a high price for a low part count, but now that it’s home and put together and seen for the first time. It looks incredible and plays just the same. The shear size alone is impressive one of the largest techinc models I own, but the full functionality, payload, and playability easily make it worth the money. The use of the Lego control app has a big impact on the playability. Other fully functioning cranes tie you to the set, forcing you to switch gears to change functions. The added motors and single set of controls operated by Bluetooth give you full remote control flexibility without switching gears. Package this playability into a set that was fun to build and looks like a finished real world model throws my concern about value right out the door. An impressive model whose value lies in the enjoyment you have once you put it together.</span>

A previous review I read said 18+ means over 18 years of Lego building experience. I agree. The six motors and 2 motor control centers are well engineered with safety features to keep everything stable. Bluetooth connection to phone for control works well. My only request is that the instructions for Operation of the finished build are lacking. There are many features on the control panel that are difficult to learn/understand. Need some help here.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I read a lot of reviews, about as many negative reviews as I’ve seen on a Lego, agreed it’s way overpriced, I have no knowledge of real life crane, so no opinion there as to how it compares. I did enjoy the build overall, it was unique to other builds with the boom and all the strings. I also enjoy complex gear boxes which this did not have. The instructions weren’t the best, if I hadn’t had so much experience it may have been more of a struggle, why no more 1:1 comparisons on all the pages for beams and rods? I think it’s a good build if it’s in your budget, but it is most definitely overpriced, as one reviewer compared it to the Liebherr crawler loader , as much of a build for almost half the price. Agreed.</span>

It's expensive if you look at it that way. But I think some other factors come into play. There are 2 hubs and 6 motors. Quite a few by any standard. Also there are some new pieces included in this set. The build was challenging but still fun. I would recommend this set to anyone.</span>

<span itemprop="description">While it doesn’t really look like the original with the luffing jib, it has lots of function. I added some steel counterweights and am able to lift a 1kg weight at full extension after adjusting the counterweights and elastics. I would like to unlock the end-points on all 3 lifting motore for personal adjustments and also add about 6 to 8 gantry sections to make this crane a real behemoth.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The instructions were easy to follow and the groups of bags not too large which aided sorting.
The only area which could have been clearer was when rigging the block cable, the last one. I may have mis-read the instructions but missed a pulley so had to re-rig it.
Once complete, it was surprising how much the crane would lift. The app also warns you that by slewing it will reduce the lifting capacity, as will lowering the jib.
All in all a satisfying build and not too complicated.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This build is quite impressive when completed. There are a few spots during the build that require a lot of attention as the instruction photos are a little hard to decipher. I had to backtrack a couple of times but it was worth it. It’s amazing to operate all of the functions after completion.</span>
