It was a joy to build, and I was really impressed by the design, which is elegant, wonderfully detailed, and very sturdy all at the same time! The parts were separated into 18 bags, which divided the build into very manageable increments. The instructions were clear, and the included brick separator worked well for undoing mistakes. It was so much fun to build, and the minifig lineup is outstanding! The way the ship opens up into the interior and has so many places to put figures and move things around is so fun. It took me a few days to build and I loved watching it come together. It feels really solid, you can pick it up and even be a little rough with it and nothing will come off. I also LOVE the color scheme. I've never owned a Lego Falcon before, and I'm glad that this is my first! First and foremost, the build itself is amazing. The colors work well together, and the Black Falcon looks imposing and menacing. There's plenty of room inside (other than the cockpit), for figures to be stored or played with. I wish there was a better way to hold the model, you kind of have to hold it from the two &quot;escape pod&quot; sides. I also wish the landing gear was taller so that figures could actually be loaded up and down the ramp. The building experience itself was fun, but repetitive. The beginning assembling all the technic was a little boring, and assembling the &quot;flaps&quot; on top was also repetitive. I wish that the minifigures had been spread out more evenly so that you didn't open them all in the middle section, leaving nothing for the start or end. This set is probably one of my favorites. The building experience was so much fun (until your roommate knocks it off the shelf). I love the minufigures as well. Darth Jar Jar looks so weird and Jedi Vader is sick.
