This was one of my first sets to build, found it a little challenging but not overwhelming at all. Had a great time building it, the leg doesn’t work like its an electric function, sometimes its just a little stuck but nothing out of the ordinary. Its lego at the end and it looks awesome and a great display piece.</span>

<span itemprop="description">J’ai reçu ce set en cadeau de Noël, je l’attendais depuis longtemps, j’ai vraiment passé un agréable moment à le monter, ce que j’ai le plus aimé, c’est le mélange technic et Lego classique, le système de descente du pied central est vraiment très bien réalisé et que dire des détails comme l’antenne qui sort ou les outils cachés, c’est presque à un niveau d’un UCS, c’est dire !! Un grand bravo 👏 au désigner pour avoir réaliser ce R2D2 aussi vrai que nature, il manque plus qu’une motorisation télécommandée pour le voir déambuler 😂 et comme cela mon DB1 n’est plus tout seul dans sa vitrine. Vous pouvez l’acheter les yeux fermés si, d’abord vous êtes un fan de Star Wars et si vous recherchez la technicité, vous serez servi</span>

<span itemprop="description">Let's get the good out of the way first. As a completed model, this little R2 unit is terrific. It's a compelling size - bigger than you think from pictures, but not so huge as to be overwhelming. I think it just looks great.
But this is a surprisingly challenging build. I found a lot of the internal Technics work to be (as Technics often is) fiddly, tedious, and occasionally uncooperative. His little front leg/wheel still doesn't smoothly work the way it's supposed to. And he's a bit...jiggly. The whole model is fairly robust overall, but anytime I pick it up to move it, it wobbles and sways more than I'd love.
I don't regret getting this set, and I'm glad to have it as a display, but unlike some other sets where I would happily repeat the building process, I'm glad to never have to construct R2 again.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I had gotten this set for Christmas as a gift from my dad, started working on it today only to get to bag 6 and find that I wasn’t just missing 1 or 2 white 2x4’s but all 14 of them. Not to mention that at this point by leaning the legs back the middle one should drop but it doesn’t do that either. I still believe it is an awesome set just wish Lego would make sure everything works as intended and that each bag has all of the pieces it’s supposed to.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I got to step 11 after having to fully deconstruct the build 2 times from the point of bag 9 back because the middle foot wouldn't drop out when he leaned back because the tecnic disconnected inside. When I finaly got the patience to move forward on the build I open bag 11 and i am missing all 11 dark blue 2x1 tiles. I bought this set for my birthday cause I've been wanting it for over a year and it's been nothing but a headache. Look in the bad reviews and see that this is a problem lots of people have had would've thought that lego would've fixed that issue by now regretting buying this.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I really enjoyed the technical aspects of the build and the use of multiple colours for the internal frame is fun. The build is interesting despite the predominantly single brick colour of white. This is where I'm a bit disappointed though. I'm very fussy about consistent brick shading and the white bricks supplied in my kit fall short of the standard I expect. Some of my white bricks are decidedly 'yellowed', as the photo shows.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The most challenging part was orienting the pieces properly when assembling the legs and retractable third leg. I enjoy having the minifigure. While building it, I found there are light kits and that would have been interesting but I did not investigate whether they had to be incorporated when building or could be retrofitted.</span>
