My son is 5.5 and he enjoys putting together Lego sets. This one required a little help from an adult, but he was able to do a lot of this independently. It's a very interactive set in that you can launch a ball and have it roll around to collect rings. Theres several different scenes you can set up to recreate the classic Sonic favorites. The launcher is probably the most fun part of this set. My son loves hitting the button and watching sonic zoom. He also just enjoys rolling the ball around everywhere. Building the set was easy following directions given inside of the box. Sonic as a Lego looks good but the pieces can be easily misplaced. I like the fact that you can make parts of this a little at a time because my son has a short attention span. However, he was able to sit still for most of the time we we were putting everything together. My son was excited to be helping me with this project because it has Sonic and Sonic is his favorite right now. I like that the pieces are bright colors. My son had so much fun hitting the button and sending Sonic flying even if he did miss the targets.
