This build is packed with so many features and fun from the first film, and has many elements which refer to the second film as well. I really took my time with this build and built it over several sessions, the fact that it opens out from the front once complete is great. I especially loved the Lego box of the Home Alone set to put under the tree, the light up boiler in the basement, and the &lsquo;Oh-Kay&rsquo; van that the bad guys use to drive around and store their stolen treasures in. Our family was a big Lego fans, but after this very very disappointing experience (my son is crying now) we will stop buying Lego at all. At first I was skeptical about having all the required bits after reading the reviews which often mentioned missing bits but that wasn't the case for myself as all bits were there in the set. Building it was an absolute blast and pleasure, I enjoyed having the option to have digital or paper instructions so I opted for the digital ones. This set has plenty of details from the film and offers lots of play elements, the build requires you to build a lot of little details and in true Lego fashion you've got plenty of stickers. This is one of the best and most fun builds that I have ever done and been a part of. The attention to detail on this set is incredible - from the van, to the rotating Michael Jordan poster and the attic. The design is extremely clever as the the house floors and roof can easily be removed - as well as opened out - to reveal the inside. Really clever design. If I had to nitpick - I would say the chairs on the first floor are very loose as they are on slippery bricks - and the bedroom shelf on the second floor also holds some loose pieces - this just makes it more difficult for storage, bit this is a VERY minor inconvenience. I would also say that at the pirce point - it represents incredible value given the attention of detail and the piece count.
