<span itemprop="description">This is the first Lego set I *had* to have. It ended up being my anniversary/birthday/Christmas present from my husband. As a piano player, and ex-piano teacher I absolutely loved the design! The detail put into this one was awesome! From the sound board, to the strings, and the little hammers attached to the keys, I had a blast seeing it all come together. The instructions were very well done. I also appreciated the tests for the motor as you went along with the build. As to people being upset about not being able to “play” your own songs, this didn’t bother me. I went into the purchase knowing it was going to basically be a music box ... one that looks fantastic! If you love pianos, and can appreciate a great design, buy this set.</span>

I found the trick is to make sure that the pieces are pushed together really tightly to prevent the pieces sticking and allow the motor to run smoothly. The volume of SNOT pieces/assembly sometimes made me wonder what I was building, and made taking it apart a challenge. My only wish is that the pieces list was broken down by bag number - building it the next time will take ages! But I'm still looking forward to it</span>

<span itemprop="description">This is a wonderful LEGO addition. The build was a bit repetitive, but it's a piano so that should be expected. I do have two suggestions. [1} the LEGO software is very difficult to shut down. I had to turn off my I-phone12 to get the program to stop running. [2} serious suggestion: The wheels should be gold. Look at the the picture of the real piano in the instructions. The wheels are bright brass. In the model they are black and there is plenty of that already. Gold colored wheels would set this model off a lot. If you decide to do this, send me a set of wheels!</span>

Le résultat final est bluffant de ressemblance et vraiment très classe.
La machinerie interne ainsi que les techniques de construction pour le clavier sont tout-à-fait intéressantes.
Le rendu du tabouret fait son petit effet.
S'il y a bien un modèle qui claque quand il est exposé c'est bien celui-ci.
Bref je vous le recommande fortement, dès qu'il revient furtivement disponible prenez-le vous ne serez pas déçu.

<span itemprop="description">You guys all say that this set is stupid because you can't actually play the piano. Well, in the specifications it CLEARLY states that you can "Pretend to play along". It literally says that you can't actually play the song with the keys, you PRETEND. Also, from what I know, it would be quite hard to make the keys periodically play the actual notes. There aren't enough keys on the piano to do that, so it would have to be way bigger. It's not very fair to condemn Lego when they have tons of amazing sets. Yes, there are some flaws, but it's better than I, or most anyone could do. I also think it's dumb for you to just go through and click on one star for everything. You say you have many sets, but you put one star on your play experience. Give an honest report for the people who are actually wondering if they should buy this set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I gave the Lego Grand Piano kit to my 80+ year old husband and we have LOVED building it. It is complex enough to keep us engaged. We marvel at the designers who have created such an interesting model that really plays music. We had some initial problems with the Power Up app but the customer service folks were very helpful and resolved our issue. We have built the Sydney Opera House, the roller coaster, trains, cranes and many other buildings but this is by far our favorite. We highly recommend it!</span>

It is fun to build (if a little repetitive in places, but you can make a game out of making the keys :)), looks excellent, and when playing is very impressive. Yes the same keys move for every song, but then it would take a mad level of engineering to do anymore. As others have said the keys can get stuck when playing automatically, but a quick reset and replay usually fixes. I dont have any major issues with the key alignment, but as they are basically freestanding in the build they will always have a little bit of wiggle room.
Overall I am more than happy with this Piano</span>

<span itemprop="description">Loved this build. I've been building Lego sets for about 7 years now and this was one of the more challenging and awesome builds. I screwed up a few times where multiple steps on a page and had to back track a few times as I turned a piece the wrong way (darn!). I was able to resolve the sticking keys by loosening the "washers" at the end of the key mechanisms. I can't seem to get my keys to all lie flat as they but up against the rotating mechanism and since it's uneven (intentionally), the keys are as well. It's not too bad. Some suggestions I would like to make are (1) add a hinge to the seat with a place inside to put the sheet music; (2) make it so the battery pack turns off after 10 minutes if no activity (wasting a lot of batteries as you forget to turn it off!); and (3) change the requirement of 6 AA batteries to 1 9 volt battery (would be much cheaper and easier to find 1 vs 6 as replacements).
Hope this doesn't sound like I didn't like this one as I really did. It looks amazing on my display shelf. The fact that you can "play" it is also very cool indeed. I'm very impressed by these developers as I know I could never do something so intricate. Great job!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was super skeptical of buying this LEGO set because of the high price point, but after spending around 15 hours or so building this set, I am blown away. The attention to detail is amazing. The seat being functional was cool. The pedal working, the different ways the lid can open and close, the intricate detail to mimic the strings inside a piano, all of it was amazing and in particular I really, really like how this build is smooth looking. It is not like a Technic build where you see the 'bones'. No, this looks like quality item once done.
That said, I did notice three things that are a little disappointing. 1. The side of the piano where the batteries go does not fully close and there's a gap. Minor pet peeve, but I understand why this choice was made. 2. The piano does not play music from the piano. This is a known issue that many have stated in prior reviews and I see what they mean. I might add a raspberry pi with a speaker into it, but this just seems like a missed opportunity from LEGO. 3. The keys, while phenomenal, play the same pattern regardless of song selected. Again, I understand why this decision was made, but it would have been cool if the piano keys actually changed patterns based on the song.
Aside from those three points, I love this build and it honestly has me exploring other larger builds. What do do next.... highly recommended.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Purchased in December last year. Had problems with the motor with keys when moving getting stuck. Sent consent emails about the problem. As I was building everything was fine until the last minute when the keys would not move or simply get stuck. I have been waiting for the parts since January which are sitting in the warehouse. Very disappointed.
I would recommend it to a friend but firstly tell them the problems that would occur and think before the purchase.</span>

Some of the reviews complain about the fact that it is not playable, but it is unreasonable to expect that it be completely playable like a real piano would be - it is made of LEGO after all.
This is a beautiful display piece and very fun to play with!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Firstly, I’d like to say that this is a very visually appealing build, and interactivity is certainly it’s strongest quality. However, I feel that the age rating is quite misleading, as an 18+ build implies quite a high level of intricacies and of difficulty, which was not the case. I wasn’t necessarily trying to work quickly (in fact, I was trying to go slowly) yet this build was complete after only working on it for two nights. This was somewhat disappointing, as the piano is quite expensive and one would expect it to be more difficult and for it to take a long time to complete.
My only other complaint is that when looking more closely at the piano keys in detail, they don’t form a perfectly straight line as they aren’t lined up very precisely. This, however, is a much smaller gripe, as it could also be attributed to builder error.
Other than this, I was pleasantly surprised by the build as a whole, and the piano creates a beautiful and interactive centrepiece.</span>

My wife however has never built one. I bought her this as a gift since she loves pianos. She assembled it and enjoyed every minute of it.
It makes a great centerpiece for the table LOL

It will play a list of songs by itself or you can press the keys to make the sound. Worth the money and is a nice display piece.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The set itself is absolutely fantastic. This is one of the coolest sets I have ever built, and I love the realistic keys, dampers, and hammers. This set is much larger than I envisioned it to be, and is a lot of fun to build and play with. That being said, I deducted a star because of the app. The sheet music displayed for each song isn't accurate, but the notes are highlighted as the song progresses as if the sheet music were representative of the song being played. This was really disappointing, as my expectation is that the sheet music (in the app) would actually match the song. The printed Lego tile of sheet music that came with the set appears to be accurate, but the app isn't. Lego should have invested a bit more developing the accompanying app, to make this toy more educational/realistic. Otherwise, a great set, and highly recommended.</span>

I really enjoyed building and understanding the structure of real piano.
I made few mistakes while building, the correction was very time consuming.
It is worthy to have this collection because I think this is a masterpiece, if I don’t get now, I will regret all my life.</span>

The only issue is the completed piano keys are not horizontally flat even though U reset the keys with the lego app. The battery runs out very fast. Remember to check out your batteries first if your piano does not play functionally！I wasted a while on this until I changed brand new batteries and it works perfectly afterwards.</span>

<span itemprop="description">We have room dedicated to Legos in our home and my husband and kids are Lego fanatics. Yet, this was MY first set and I absolutely loved building it. I'm a musician by trade, a pianist and band teacher teacher. I love the detail and I loved seeing it come together. I purposely took my time to build this to savor all the fine details. I'm in awe. I do have one complaint, why don't they use the correct written music in the app? They have the music on the Lego part that sits on the piano, but none of the songs actually match what is being played in the app. This seems like a small detail that was overlooked and can still be remedied. Everything else is better than hoped for.</span>
