I agree with so many of the comments already made: The headstock is all wrong and unstable; the strings are virtually impossible to tension; the strings are way too thick; the scratchplate should be smooth, not covered in locking knobs (or whatever the technical term is); proportions are wrong; parts are too angular because when when you consider a real Strat, one of its most beautiful features is how smooth and rounded it is, from every viewpoint; many of the parts seemed to be there just to give the builder some thing to do, for example, joining two bricks of the same size together, when one of the combined size would have sufficed; why wasn't there a nut at the end of the fingerboard, as there is on a real guitar, to keep the strings aligned; why offer two body colours in the same box when you could offer one or the other in separate boxes. Once you have chosen your colour, all you are left with is a bag of bits which are useless. I doubt that this will stay in the catalogue for as long as Leo Fender's timeless creation. Ordered off website when available. Like that you were able to choose what color of guitar you wanted to build. Also was impressed with the detail put into amp. Very few stickers also. The main complaint I have is with the strings. That was hardest part of build for me. Each string had a color coded block attached to get the strings in order. Once all the strings were attached you are supposed to remove colored block and replace with a grey one. Impossible for me to remover colored block without string coming off. Found it easier to just attach to grey blocks and attach string. Tightening the strings got frustrating also. If you got them too tight the top of guitar would break loose. The Strat I&rsquo;ve owned and loved the longest is identical to the black one on the box, big headstock and all, so I couldn&rsquo;t wait to put it together and take a picture with the two of them together. While the amp is truly amazing, the guitar itself has flaws which I was able to rectify with modifications. First, the amp. The attention to detail is quite remarkable. Lego did not miss a thing.. It&rsquo;s all there- output transformer, power, pre-amp, and rectifier tubes, speaker with all the correct wiring, reverb tank with spring and the wiring, a colorful cacophony of small electrical components, red jewel light, and so much more. Maybe Lego could make a stand-alone Twin Reverb? Or Marshall stack? Second, the guitar. Unfortunately the guitar was a frustrating build and is, at best, a so-so model. As others have noted, the strings are a hot mess and the headstock (a crucial part of Fender&rsquo;s identity!) is just..wrong. The strap is well done and the stand looks and functions great. Overall this set underwhelming.
