Yet when I saw it I liked it immediately. Maybe it's the simpler colour scheme, maybe it's the evergreen theme of pirates and the likes. Great building experience, good updated classic figures. Please note I have added 2 additional figures to it as I felt there's enough space to make it more &quot;lived in&quot;. One thing I am not sure about - the inclusion of the underwater/base part. It's neat but having it together with fully tile-built rocks and having every surface smoothed-out felt like &quot;overdoing&quot; it to me. I've got to say its done well and updates things to current Lego building techniques and parts but also keeps the spirit of the original. I wasn't lucky enough to have this set as a child but did get to play with it at a friends house so when I saw it was getting a remake I had to buy it. A core memory I have of the set it the prison cell built into the base plate and I was so happy to see that this made it into the new set in brick built form. Grandkiddos get excited when a package arrives but you kept the sets secret.
