I'm sure buying used bricks is cheaper, but I don't want to buy used items for myself and my daughter to play with. There are so many so called &quot;Classic sets&quot; with a ridiculous amount of useless stupid tiny random pieces (garbage) that doesn't let you build ANYTHING at all. Those pieces are so specialized and only work well with the instructional models provided and NOTHING more. The &quot;lots of bricks set&quot; are the OLD SCHOOL bricks you had as a kid where you can actually build what you actually want. Houses, cars, planes, robots what ever you'd like. Honestly I went ahead and bought two boxes and that's more then enough for my 4 year old to make anything she absolutely wants. Even 1 box is more then enough but I wanted to have plenty of pieces. Don't buy those modern dumb rainbow garbage classic sets. They're garbage and a waste. Unless your a master builder, you'll get special pieces you can maybe use for your projects. Otherwise if your just a parent or a normal person with bills to pay, buy the 'lots of bricks&quot; set and your more then okay with Lego. Period. While I still feel this is overpriced for what it is (welcome to Lego), the abundance of ALL the sizes of bricks and beautiful colours makes me very happy with my purchase- so much so that I plan to buy another one. Despite my gripes about the branded sets, I love THIS set and hope to see more like it. One TINY thing that could make it better, would be to include more detailed builds for us older &quot;kids&quot;. Also, while I love the bright colours, I'd love another set like this (or smaller) with deeper, but still vibrant shades.
