She also loves roller coasters. She was very excited to build it. It allowed her to concentrate and follow instructions and build this all by herself. It took her a couple hours but she was able to do it. She&rsquo;s 12. Once done she was so proud and couldn&rsquo;t stop showing it off. My 8 year old loves this. It did take some time to put together but the motorized car was fun to watch go through our roller coaster we made. The dragon moves also witch makes the effects awesome. He is 9 almost 10 and this was very age appropriate for him to build and play with, which has been a struggle with his age range finding something that he has interest in. I can't rave enough about this! It did take a lot of time to put together but that just gave him hours of entertainment and he still is playing with it. The package is exciting and the set up looks pretty cool. However set up isn't so easy. Its very difficult and it does take adult help. My son definitely got frustrated. I think it's a great fun exciting toy but after it's set up. The pieces are very durable and high quality the mechanical parts definitely work exactly as described. It's a really cool idea. But I just think it's not a kids toy I think it's a bit confusing and complicated for a child to build and play with. But it's a great activity to do with your child and a family activity. But as far as a child being able to set it up and play on with it on there own is definitely not gonna happen. I overall think it's a great family bonding building toy. Just not made for a child to build on there own. Overall it's fun and a super cool toy to build watch and play. He plays for hours with it. He loved piecing it togeather and the dragon just makes it that much better. A great toy that keeps them entertained and out of trouble. My husband has loved building with K'NEX since he was little and shares this love with our little girls. This Dragon Quest Roller Coaster keeps them entertained all day. My daughter enjoys following the directions to build this and I love the STEM building benefits she gets from doing so. After being built, you can attach the castle facade and the motorized dragon. The dragon moves his wings which is a really cool aspect of this set! The car that moves on the coaster can go really fast, thanks to a super high powered motor. My kids loving playing with this! They like to get their figurines and use other toys to create an entire imaginary castle land with this roller coaster.
