My 6 yr old didnt have the attention span to listen to me explain the game but he did love making up his own game with the cards and the pieces. The sand was an instant hit as expected. He likes that its a dinosaur game and he loves smashing the kinetic sand dinos as part of the game. I think it would be better if the game was played with play-doh instead of kinetic sand because it wouldnt make such a mess and would still allow for the same squishing effect. We've played this game 3 times, and there is 1 card in the deck that sends everyone back to their starting point. I'm pretty sure that with the number of cards in the deck, you will always pull this card before finishing the game, which means you can never finish the game!! Your dino will never make it to the finish line. For me, this is a huge error in production and makes me not want to play because I know there will never be a winner and the game never ends. We also found the game to actually end very quickly, in maybe 5-6 turns, so we adapted the rules to make it longer. My child also found the kinetic sand to be messy &amp; annoying to use on a board game. The crafting of characters outweighed the ability to smash them. My child absolutely loves this game and won't stop playing it. The instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow even for a 4 year old. The game is very creative and there isn't one like it in the market which makes it truly one of a kind. It's very interactive as you mold dinosaurs with the provided Kinetic Sand. I would however, recommend getting additional sand to ensure all the players are able to mold the their dinosaurs throughout the game. It included a game board, tokens, a Jurassic mould and kinetic sand. We played this as a family of 3 on Friday night -family game night. It was so fun and a great way to connect as a family. The only thing I would suggest would be that the kinetic sand can get a little messy with the younger ones (closer to 5 years old) so I would suggest to use some sort of putty or playdoh in its place. She loves Dinos and love Kinetic sand! Shell love making Dinos! Then we started opening the box to see that its a full game! I think I need to work on my observation stills. The artwork is so well done! For a girl who loves her Dinos the cards themselves are inthralling. Also I know its little, but I love that the game even came with a ziplock bag to put the parts in when your done playing, little things like that are really nice. Getting to smash the other players Dinos with T-Rex is so much fun for the littles, this game is always going to be out. Maybe not always being played as the board game, but making Dinos with the molds and squishing them with T-Rex. If you have a young Dino lover, this game is great, you get to work on your counting with the cards, moving up to 5 spaces, you get to play with the kinetic sand which is honestly super fun all on its own.
