<span itemprop="description">I was in a car accident where I was tboned on the front passenger door which is the side where I had my 3 yr old. The car was totaled and my knee got pretty banged up, tearing my ACL. My son obviously scared and cried for a while but he did not have a single scratch or bruise on him. I have no doubt that was thanks to this carseat! I was so impressed and grateful I bought the exact same one to replace the one in the accident. I recommend this carseat 100% again and again! Thank you Graco for keeping my baby safe!</span>

The only way to ensure a newer date is to purchase in store, where there is a white sticker located on the outside of the box with model number and manufacture date. We hope this helps! Graco team

The minimum age and weight requirements for forward facing are 1 year old and 22 pounds, however the 4Ever allows for children to ride rear facing until 40 pounds or until there is less than one inch of space between the top of the child's head and the height adjustment handle when the headrest is fully extended.
