When I received it, it was obvious that the packaging had been opened and then packaged back up with sloppy packing tape. I bought this as a birthday gift for my daughters classmate but the sloppy re-packaging job looks so bad that I&rsquo;m too embarrassed to give it to the child for their birthday so I had to scramble to find something else and will be returning this item. Very disappointing and inconvenient. I would use outside as it can makes some drips as it flys. I found that the recommended age is probably too young to work the toy without the assistance of an adult, the pull cord needs to be pulled quite quickly whilst holding the handle as well as keeping it upright. It was better handled and controlled by age 5 and over without difficulty. That said it is fun for all ages, it is strongly built so not at all flimsy! You place the bubble mixture in the middle of the toy and pull at the cord to watch the middle fly out and spin to make about 30 bubbles in seconds, one thing to be careful of if using outside is the height these go to! I have a 15 ft fence and it already gone over my neighbours house 5 times, it is very durable and strong and can use different bubbles each time. It turns too fast and the bubbles rarely come out. If you pull with less power, the bubbles work better, but then the helicopter doesn't fly very high. It's also not easy for a kid to operate and between the handle, purple bubble holder, and the helicopter piece, I wouldn't necessarily say it's easy to hold together while trying to operate.
