It&rsquo;s great to have different ones than the usual cat, dog, etc. It was really fun to find the different animal noises and then he loves to imitate them. Also fun for an upcoming zoo trip! I was surprised to see a complete change in material - they are now a hard molded plastic instead of the softer/rubbery material of previous animals/people we've had. I do like how durable they seem, but I'm not crazy about the midline seam that some of these have. I have included some pictures of the new animals and older animal counterparts for visual comparison. The creatures are all adorable, and the chunky, rounded shapes are perfect for little hands to play with. And of course, I was right. Immediately upon receiving the animals, she began playing with them, and play for at least 2 hours without stopping. She has played with them multiple times since receiving them. They are painted designs with no stickers meaning it&rsquo;s safe for the little ones to play with without worrying about stickers ending up in their mouth&lsquo;s. My kids have really enjoyed the pretend play activities they were engaged in while playing with them and I can&rsquo;t wait to see how else they can play.
