<span itemprop="description">It leaks! More specifically, it dribbles liquid down the side from the large button after each sip. I had high expectations for this commuter mug given the many positive reviews and ratings. It's hugely disappointing: hard to drink from (which I could get around), but also dribbles liquid down the side from the button at the end of each sip. Not sure if mine is simply defective, but this is a show-stopper. I'll be returning it and looking to a different brand.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have had multiple travel mugs with West Loop original and 2.0 versions. The one-hand operation is by far the simplest and easiest to operate yet keeps the contents in the mug. I have checked and have not found a competitor to the lid functionality. The original West Loop lids would only last a few years before the button would break but 2.0 seems to be much better. Unfortunately the plastic cannot withstand a direct drop to a hard surface when full of coffee and the "rubber" seal at the spout can wear and drip (luckily there are 3rd party seals available on Amazon). The stainless steel body are basically indestructible except I have had a few that had problems with the paint chipping off near the top during hand washing. In the past replacement lids were available for purchase which allowed me to still use my 15 year old stainless steel body (some worn paint) still in 2025.</span>

The metal is thinner, I can feel the mug flex in my hand when I squeeze it to pick up. The plastic on the top also feels lower quality too</span>

After an accidental drop, the lid broke. And the only way is to buy a new mug altogether. It would be very nice if you could sell the lids separately. Even at a higher price, but for the sake of nature's resources.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Remember the old Stanley thermoses? Some of you do. They were practically indestructible. However, if you lost or broke the stopper or cup, you could order a replacement. Those days are long gone. I will say I was impressed by my friends Contigo West Loop coffee thermos that I immediately went out and bought one. I loved it. I was even able to replace the plastic lid when it broke. That was then, this is now. Contigo has joined the host of greenwashing corporations that tout their reusable products as a way to reduce waste. The longevity and durability of a product is determined by its weakest component. In the case of the West Loop, it's the lid. We have half a dozen beautiful stainless steel thermos bodies with no lids. We could recycle them, but they're so pretty-pretty useless that is. What a waste, Contigo.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I've had mine for at least 7 years. I've had other people gift me waterbottles or travel mugs and they've all come and gone but this one. I only wash it in the dishwasher, because I don't have time in my life to handwash (that's a deal breaker for me; if you can't survive the dishwasher you don't get a space in my house!). My kids knock it over, I toss it in a bag, I slam on my breaks, it never spills or needs special attention. I use it all day, every day, at work, in the house, at night it's by my bed. Never have to worry about knocking it over in the dark or on my keyboard! it travels with me everywhere. My morning caffeine to my afternoon sips to my evening hot chocolate. I've even snuck booze in it once or twice. Love it's one-handed use and passive locking. The only improvement would be a loop or handle to strap it onto things.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’ve had my Contigo travel mug for over 10 years and this thing has not let me down. I do t use it all the time but when I do get in my kicks where I’m drinking coffee this keeps my coffee hot and spill proof for hours. Sometimes there will be some pressure that builds up so don’t have it pointing at your face when pushing the button. I will usually put it up to my mouth first if I’m in my car so it don’t spit coffee all over. If I’m out and about I’d let it vent away from me.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I've had 2 westloop models. First one lasted 6 years and then the lid mechanism decided not to seal and it leaked. I bought my current one 1.5 years ago and though the lid is intact, the cup is warm to touch with a coffee in it and its cold once an hour or so has passed. It has been handwashed only. I love the shape and design but disappointed in the quality for a product that comes with a lifetime guarantee.</span>

I bought it for the Autoseal as my workspace only allows this feature.
Only problem is that it is too tall for the work Coffee machine, as I have to use another cup to make it, then put in to the Mug.
Can you design one around 1.5 inches shorter and just widen it so it stays the same quantity.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I love this mug so mug, I bought it so I could carry my coffee in my backpack on my way to work. It works perfectly. Or at least it did until my husband used because it just works so well. Now it’s “his” mug lol. Fine by me, I get to buy a new one!</span>
