The truck has lights that come on and it makes lots of different sounds when he's playing with all the different parts on the truck. He has gotten hours and hours of play with this toy. It was a nice bonus that the batteries were already included with the truck. When we took it out of the box, it started right up.</span>

First off (and most importantly), he loves playing with it - so no need to "sell" it to him - he's always super excited to play with it. Then the OT part - there are different tools inside - a hammer as well as both a flat head and Philips head screwdriver, with corresponding parts (nail and screws) that make sounds when you use the correct tool on them. I love it when a toy serves a dual purpose like this one does - helping to develop fine motor skills as well as entertainment :) I'd recommend it to any child who enjoys construction or building-oriented toys - and especially for those who could benefit from fine motor development.</span>

I always look for toys that are helpful with dexterity and fine motor skills and this truck offers some of that. The fact that it's construction theme is even better for my little one. The truck is much like our heavy duty bigger trucks but softer since it's plastic. I think it does a good job mimicking the older kids toys. I like the little storage place for the building pieces and I think its a good way to show kids how to clean up after themselves. The tires are the same type of plastic as the rest of the truck and rolls easily. This is a great little toy and I think it's get tons of use with little hands. I really like this toy. The only thing I was a little worried about was the face. I thought it might scare my little one but he was cool with it.</span>

Phillip is large for small hands and took very basic batteries that we always have in the house. The age says 2+ but this was a hit for a 1 year old and 4 year old. He was super excited as soon as we took it out of the box. When you tap it on the head he makes noise. Inside is a circular saw that you press down and it makes a cutting sound. It comes with a small hammer that you hit the red nail with and it makes a sound. There are two different types of screw drivers and you put them in and turn them and they make sounds. I really like this feature for the fine motor skills. My son has been playing with this a good bit, running it all over the house. He seems to really enjoy it!</span>
