It's one of those things where they're going to want to keep buying more and more to collect them all...and you don't know which one you're buying because of the &quot;mystery&quot; so you're probably going to end up with duplicates. They're tiny, like the size of the palm of my hand, and the accessories like the bottle are even smaller. I can see the pieces getting lost easily and stepped on by me often. But they are cute and the girls had fun with them, that's the important part. She's not able to read yet but she was able to figure out what to do by just looking at the pictures included in the instructions. She had no problem getting the Baby Doll to open her eyes. Although, she had a bit of trouble getting the Baby to wet her diaper. Just like in real life, it takes several feedings for her to go. This does say 10+ surprises, but I am not quite sure what all 10 are unless I missed them. The doll comes wrapped in its swaddle, we got the ice cream cone (cute!), and they are in their diaper, along with a bottle to feed it. The kids had fun &quot;waking up&quot; the doll and of course just enjoy &quot;feeding&quot; over and over again to see the doll wet itself. As a parent, I know my kids love these things. There is apparently a ritualistic draw that gives kids significant enjoyment as they discover what combination of attributes (surprises) the doll has. The &ldquo;birth certificate&rdquo; is the piece of paper that whole thing together. The get to see the options that are available in the series. Snuggly swaddles, color change diapers, hairstyle and eye colors, gender, name, food, birthday and star sign are the different things you get to discover. I thought it didn't look like much when I took it out of the box. However when I gave it to my 6 year old granddaughter, she was thrilled. I love that the baby comes wrapped up in the blanket hidden so it truly is a surprise on what you get. You then unwrap the surprises to find out if your baby is a girl or boy. You then get to take a wet cloth and wipe baby's eyes to &quot;wake them up&quot; and reveal their eye color. You can then feed the baby with water in the bottle to show a fun print on the diaper. There was a Doll, a bottle, a blanket, and a diaper. Yes, the dolls eye color and diaper print was a surprise. But that&rsquo;s really the only &ldquo;surprise&rdquo; to the whole thing once you&rsquo;ve opened the doll and it&rsquo;s accessories. Not very impressed.
