I am glad I didn't pay for this because it didn't match the picture and when she opened it it broke so she couldn't use all of the features. It is a cute concept. Has #1-6 doors that you take off(piece of cardboard) to reveal toys inside. Supposed to do 1 a day to &quot;countdown&quot; to your birthday. The last door has a present you push to get the top to pop up on the cake. This is where are problem was. The plastic shaft holding the spring was broken off so it wouldn't come up and so we pulled it to open top and its not fixable. She still had fun playing but wished the carousel top of the cake would of worked. He adores Polly Pocket and really loved this one because of all the surprises. It is like a Christmas countdown calendar but for your Birthday. His favorite surprises were the pi&ntilde;ata which can also be worn as a ring and the Carousal that pops out of the top of the cake. My only complaint is there doesn&rsquo;t seem to be a good storage option built into the cake to house all of the fun accessories that came with this toy. There are multiple &ldquo;rooms&rdquo; for Polly and friends to play in on this cake. My daughter loves the pop up feature on this toy. She love carousels, so cute that was an added bonus. But I will say that it&rsquo;s hard to get the little dolls onto the horses at times. Especially as an adult with adult hands. But the kids love it. We love all the extra pieces that comes with this toy. You can peal each day a different door which was exciting, then on the last day you press a button and the top pops up and the horses are there for the dolls to ride. This toy kept my daughter busy for about 2 hours until she said she would play later. She did say that it was hard to put some of the tiny items inside and she has small hands. But she loves it and thinks its super cute! BTW the photo and the product are different. She did like that there was clothes to dress the dolls in. She loved how she could pop out everything round the cake and find surprises! It was quite frustrating at first though for her to figure out how to pop the top of the cake up, but once she figured it out, she loved the look! She also mentioned, which is why I give it 4 stars versus 5, that she had a hard time figuring out where everything would fit and then said that she wished the cake could close all the way so all the small pieces wouldn&rsquo;t get lost. Overall, lots of cute and interacting pieces! Very good quality and holds interest for as long as expected! The only complaint she has is that both dolls can't do all the activities (for example one can ride the carrousel, while the other can't, and the other can sit in chairs while the other can't). The surprises were a little difficult for her to open, but I was able to help with that. Also, I'd love some simple instructions on the box that say how to open the birthday cake piece. I swear I looked and couldn't find it. Additionally, the little dolls are nearly impossible to get on the carousel horses. Aside from those little complaints, this was honestly a huge hit for my kiddo and her sister. The little rooms are awesome, the pieces that come with it are tiny, but great. I was a bit skeptical it would hold interest after the initial go of uncovering the surprises but my kiddo has kept coming back to it. I would definitely recommend this as a birthday gift for a kiddo that likes polly pocket. One thing that I wish was a little different were the surprise accessory pieces. She loved opening all the compartments and the cute accessories inside. It took a little while to figure out how to make the top pop up but she figured it out.
