First of all, it has absolutely everything to entertain and bring new knowledge to him, which is a must for me. He plays and learns at the same time. Second of all, It has numbers, letters, different songs, games on the summer road trip is must to keep kids busy in the car. I also love it&rsquo;s lightweight so it&rsquo;s easy to throw it in his backpack and batteries are secured, so he can&rsquo;t open it. If you're okay with it, then you should be fine. I wouldn't recommend bringing this out in public though. There is a mute setting but most of the activities require sound. The packaging says this laptop is intended for kids 2+ years, but I think 4 or 5 years is more appropriate. There is a bit of guidance that is needed initially to help your little one with selecting the options and understanding the instructions.
