This train set was fairly easy to assemble as my 11 year old was able to do it quickly on her own. All of my kids ranging in age from 19 months to 11 years old loved racing the trains. To start the race, you place Thomas and Kana in their starting positions on the track and simply pull the lever and off they go! My kids had a lot of fun playing with this train set but they were not happy with Thomas winning all the races. I like that the lever is very kid friendly making it easy for the little ones to start the race. I also like that there is a girl train included as well. The track and trains both seem sturdy and durable so I expect this set to last quite some time. Pretty easy to put together just pay attention to the part numbers instead of going right at it. I love that it comes with both Thomas and Kana. Fairly easy to assemble, kids love the fact that they are in control of when the race starts. By pushing the button on the front, you can send these trains racing down the track. The elevated layout and corners are fun but kids can also just push the trains by hand for added play factor too. My children liked the track but became frustrated that Thomas always wins. The weight doesn&rsquo;t seem to be even between Kana and Thomas. We tried putting Kama on the starting point further ahead but she still loses. Once they realized that Thomas always wins, they became bored. I like that the track can be connected and dismantled easily. I didn&rsquo;t like the Hoi need to screw the one piece together but it makes it bulkier to put away and store. After setting up the track which took about 10 minutes and was easy to do with the instructions included. The trains are made very well, and are some of my child's favorite characters. My son opened the box and was able to assemble the track on his own, including troubleshooting the errors that he made. We were able to connect it to our Thomas and Friends Super Tower with ease. Though this item comes with unmotorized trains, it accommodates the motorized ones as well. The tracks and supports were a little more flexible than I like which caused to be a bit rough to put together, but it only took me about 20 minutes.
