It was easy to assembly because the instructions are very clear. The materials are well made. It was kinda hard to put together and took quite a bit of patience &mdash; the instructions weren&rsquo;t easy to follow and Sonic isn&rsquo;t able to glide all the way around in a full circle BUT he still had a blast using the Death Egg in creative play with other Sonic sets! It says 2.5&quot; with a few small figures but this was a huge box with a big set to assemble (see photos). The assembly instructions are completely unclear and are basically just pictures with arrows which made it pretty difficult to put together. My 4 year old enjoys it but it's not an automatic motion toy at all. You have to push Sonic to move him around the track and then push the button to activate the &quot;explosion&quot; when he's under the villain. Underwhelming. You also have to continuously put Sonic back on the track, which my kid can't do themselves so that's my job.. every 10 seconds! The instructions were picture instructions but honestly didn&rsquo;t help much. It was pretty intuitive. It&rsquo;s so much fun to slam on the button and destroy dr egg man! I love that sonic can go both ways on the track. It&rsquo;s also very nice that it doesn&rsquo;t need batteries to be played with. The problem is, there are minimal instructions to put together and that makes it a little difficult. I also had a hard time snapping in the bottom track piece for Sonic to slide on. Sonic requires someone to move him along the tracks and there is a button that can be pushed to make him jump into Dr. Eggman's vehicle and make it fall apart. It&rsquo;s a cute decoration if you have room for it but we don&rsquo;t (as decor) I was confused and let down, this was gifted had it not been I would return because it&rsquo;s way to much work to figure this out.
