She loved that it was a suprise and so secretive. All the different accessories are awesome and helped with the suspense. She loves playing with the wand. The mist is one of her favorite features. Even after she got the suprise Mixie she loves playing with the cauldron and suprising her friends with other suprises. She loves the animations and has even asked for the other cauldrons as well. It's the most interactive toy I've ever seen. There are very detailed instructions included for parents and more simple instructions for children, it even has everything numbered. It even comes with a wand! After allowing the cauldron to charge you can get to work. After casting your &quot;Spell&quot; and mixing all your ingredients your adorable, interactive plush appears! It really is the cutest, ever. It looks like a Magical, Mythical creature with a gem on it's forehead. There are so many things it can do, you can even prop it up onto the Cauldron and perform &quot;Spells&quot; while it chants. Even after you've played with it, you can put your pet back into to the Cauldron to reveal it over and over again. You can also use the Gem box it came with to reveal any other toy or surprise! My daughter as had so much fun playing with her Magic Mixies set! She's only 5, so it can be tough to find something we both enjoy. But we watched Hocus Pocus to get ready for Halloween and she started wanting to make &quot;potions&quot;. So this interactive toy is perfect. It actually reminds me of the bear making place in the mall. You will know what I mean when you start adding &quot;things&quot;. The end result is not actually THE END, you can put the box (or animal) back in the bottom and start over with new spells you make up and/or new treasure inside the box. This is something we have done on two visits thus far and now she has asked to take it to her friends and show them. SO that means this grandma scored points with the 5 year olds!
