Appropriate for the age stated. As an advanced builder who loves the 18+ collection with thousands of pieces, I was underwhelmed. Perhaps I shouldn't have bought this set but I had a specific place in mind for the parrot to be on display - its easy and fun to build, just wish it was bigger!</span>
