Operation Game is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 120.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from should have left well enough alone This game is nothing like the original, there are none of the old body parts, Funny bone, Charlie horse etc. now theres a cell phone? headphones? and ice cream bar? really? and the openings are larger, makes this game way too easy, says ages 4 and up, my 4 YO mastered it immediately. Clearly this game succumbed to the "everyone wins, no ones dissapointed" mentality these days dont waste your money, try to find the real game if you can

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way to easy I remember this game being fun and challenging. When my wife came home with it I was pumped to play a round with my 4 yr old son. They have made this classic game so easy that my son has yet to hit the edge. Well I guess this is the way we raise kids now. Everyone gets a trophy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What is this trash? What is this trash? This is not operation or even close to it. The holes are made so larger there is no challenge what so ever. Kids played it once and never touched it again. Not a single one hit the sides. You'd have to have Parkinsons to actually fail. The real one was truly difficult and took some skill. Also what's with the pieces? I'd hope the kids could get a little bit of anatomy out of it. Who has a cell phone in their ribs? It's terrible and I do not recommend this. Look for the original and stick with that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I dont mind that it has an updated look, but the holes are so large that even my 5 yr old can get all the pieces out with ease. She even tried to make it harder by mixing the items in the wrong holes. Still too easy. This game is boring! Not fun like it was when I had one as a child.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Easy My daughter received this as a gift for her birthday. I was so excited because I loved operation as a kid, however I was quickly disappointed because the game is too easy. The holes to remove the pieces are so large now, its unlikely you'll touch the side while removing any of the pieces. Hoping to find an old style operation game, which will be a challenge.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boring This product is for a child around 3 or 4, not a 5 or 6yr old. Also, it doesn't teach anything like the old one (heart, lungs and bones)- this version is a waste of time, money and space. The holes are so big that the buzzer doesn't goes off even when you hit the sides. In the olden days, it took skill to remove the parts.-sorry Hasbro, this is a flop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Nostalgia After arriving home from a hunt to relive some old memories, I opened the package and got it all set up. The game didn't look the way it did when I was a kid (I noticed the box looked different in the store, but didn't pay close attention I was so excited.) The holes were bigger, pieces were different, but oh well--I tried it anyway. 45 seconds later I was done. What ??? Have we come to a point in society where we have to dumb EVERYTHING down? Wake up people and realize that this game used to be a challenge for kids and adults alike. It also used to have a louder buzz and more of a shock. Are we too sensitive to that as well? And what happened to the pieces? I thought they all used to be bones, but I could be mistaken. Now Sam has a radio and game controller inside him. This is not how you make a connection with kids. Make it fun and challenging. Kids today can operate smartphones, so I'm sure they can handle a little challenge and a shock once in a while.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Modern Version Purchased this thinking it was just a more modern version of the classic game I grew up playing but was very disappointed when I received the game. The pieces are WAY too easy to remove, it did not include game cards or money. So basically you just take turns removing the pieces and whoever went first wins. Sad. Even the pieces you remove do not have the same clever appeal as the original. There is no "Brain Freeze" or "Writer Cramp" to remove. Just a clock and a dog and other random items. If you are looking for the classic version you remember from childhood DO NOT buy this game.
