They quickly built all sorts of shapes and the pieces stuck to each other quite well. The children could pick up their creations and walk around with them. I like how there is a booklet with instructions on how to build shapes to get them started, but after a while, they were creating things on their own. I think I may have to get more sets so they can continue to create larger shapes. The pieces are durable and the magnets are strong. He can build very complicated structures with just a few shapes. When I help him and we build something from the how to booklet that comes with the kit, he gets so excited about the final product. Hes very lego obsessed and autistic so I wanted to expand his horizons a bit. He loved the toy and is really clever and creative coming up with things to build. His 20mo old sister loves them too and unless the toys were to break and the magnet were fall out theres nothing unsafe for her...no sharp edges nothing so its a good for the whole family toy.
