Due to popular request, this version of the Gro-Clock has a new feature allowing parents to choose whether or not to display the digital clock during the usual 'stars to sun' countdown. So for older children, they can now start to learn digital time, as well as look for the arrival of the sun!

It isn't too bright at the lowest setting. Easy to set up. The story book it came with to explain the clock isn't very good, small text, terrible story, really cheap looking but we didnt seem to need it. <span itemprop="description">The concept of the clock is great and it totally works for my son, so I would definitely recommend! There are just a few things about it that I think need to change. First, it only plugs into the wall and doesn't take batteries, so if my kids are playing and unplug it it just stops working. The time has to be reset, because it doesn't keep the time if it isn't plugged in. I also wish there was a parent control where we could lock it so they can't keep pushing buttons and changing the screen!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Heard it worked great for friends of ours with their kid. Unfortunately once you have it set there's no way to lock it. Instead of napping our two year old was pushing buttons, and it took him less than a day to figure out the combos needed to put the sun to bed and to display the sun again. So now he still wakes up at all hours of the morning, he just turns the sun on so that he's "allowed" to be awake and out of his room. Good in concept, but definitely isn't working for us!</span>

We read the story that came with the clock and set the clock for 6am wake up. The first two nights the younger child didn’t stay in bed but the 5 yr old understood that they needed to stay in bed until the sun came on the clock. By night 3, the two year old understood as well and stayed in bed until shortly after 6. We talk about it frequently that stars mean sleep time and once the sun is up on the clock they can come out. A month in and it’s still working great. They are even sleeping til closer to 7am some mornings. Would definitely recommend this clock.</span>

To begin with, you have to activate it every day. Secondly, if there's a power shortage then you'll have to reset the cock.
Why can't they design it like an alarm clock so you set the wake time and that's it, no nightly/daily activation, etc.? And also it should be battery powered as well so that even if there's a power shortage it'd still work. An alarm clock with those features even costs less!!
No I wouldn't recommend it and particularly at that price!!! I returned it.</span>

Hello, I purchased this clock August 4. &nbsp;Set it up August 6. &nbsp;Since setting it up it last been losing time - approximately 15 mins very 2days. &nbsp;Very annoying. &nbsp;The store I bought it at is 5 hours away, can you please provide some advice. Thank you.&nbsp;

Definitely sounds faulty. Maybe the store can mail you a new one and include in the bag a return label for the defective one. I&rsquo;ve been using mine for over 2 years and it keeps time perfectly. Sorry you got a dud, it definitely needs to be returned.

Yes I think it is not an ideal colour. You can adjust the brightness but it's still too light in my opinion. I ended up putting it on the floor so it wasn't in eye sight from my daughter's bed.&nbsp;
