So far so good I do not have the indents in my cloth seats from there seats and it helps catch any crumbs from snacks or sand from the playground. It is easy to use/remove and cleans well. It would be great for protecting car seats from spills and crumbs, but it will not keep the corners of a child seat from digging in and making divots in your leather seats. I purchased with Britax B-Safe base/car seat and went to the police station to have the seat checked, it was just so loose! The officer removed the protector pad and tightened the seat. Safety is first and this protector pad just doesnt allow that! This one is great- no imprint, stays in place better, and EASY to clean- soap and water and the green gooy mess (no idea what it once was) was gone- and kept it from getting on the upholstery!!!!!
