We both find that a gentle stretch does provide some relief of back tension. The overall effect is similar to an inversion table without having to hang upside down.</span>

I did not experience any of the negative issues (pads pressing against the arms pits, or not stretching me enough due too my height -- 5'9") others reported. I use it in the morning and/or evening to reduce lower back stiffness and increase flexibility due to age-related degenerative discs in the Lumbar region and recurring bursitis in my hip. Works like a charm and is relaxing in its own way. The bench could be a bit more cushioned.</span>
