<span itemprop="description">Ive heard nothing but great things about Ergo Carrier's. So when we received our Cool Mesh Adapt for our newborn we were excited to try it out. Unfortunately first thing i noticed was that the mesh material rubs so much on my babes face shes gotte. Red irritated cheeks from it. Also the adapt doesnt have a forward facing option, for some reason i thought it did. Thats my bad. It doesnt fit all body types, my husband has very broad shoulders and for him it fits very uncomfortably... if i could afford a different version i would but sadly these carriers are not cheap....</span>

<span itemprop="description">I really want to buy the Adapt cool air mesh in Grey, but the only colour available in my (very hot and sunny) country is Black. Why, why, why would Ergobaby make a carrier that is designed to be "cool" and then produce it in such dark colours? Surely the dark fabric defeats the point of the mesh?
And what about the sun protection hood? This is in black too so I can't imagine ever being able to use it, because baby is going to instantly overheat with a piece of black cloth on her head. Its seems like Ergobaby haven't really thought this through.
Of course I could buy it in grey, in another country, but then I have to pay shipping customs fees, and deal with the inevitable delays and uncertainty as it makes it way through customs.
Feeling very frustrated.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’ve used few carriers with our newborn son. However, after carrying him for some time my back would hurt, so I decided to look for something with a better back.
Since we are planning a month long trip to Europe in the spring, it was important to find a carrier that was breathable. Ergobaby adapt cool air mesh was the perfect choice. It ‘grows’ with the baby without needing an infant attachment, and I’ve been using it carrying my month old son around the house.
Compared to other carriers my back does not hurt after carrying baby around for some time.
It’s definitwly breathable and baby does not get overheated in our warm house, so I know it will be just perfect for our trip.
It was fairly easy to adjust without needing to rely on instructions.
Overall great carrier and does exactly what’s in the description. I am looking forward to our travels and baby carrying in the spring when it gets warm outside.
I have already recommended Ergobanu carriers to other friends that either have a baby or expecting one. It would make for a great baby shower gift.</span>

She is very short and without the adjustments, she would not be able to use a carrier. The breath-ability of the mesh is great for the tropical area in which we live. She loves to sleep on me, and now I can also get a couple things done while having time with her. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the fabric that breathes is kinda rough where her legs rest on the bottom of the carrier. I place a soft blanket over the fabric and it is fine.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This mesh carrier saved my sanity as a new mom by enabling Dada and me to get out of the house and go. We've used it at museums, a local art festival, and impromptu walks around the neighborhood. The carrier lets you easily manage baby in a crowded location where you don't want the bulk of a stroller. I even took baby on the metro (subway) and bus by myself with just this carrier and an ergobaby backpack for a museum outing.
The mesh is perfect and breathable for warm summer (and autumn and spring) days. The hood is great for keeping the sun out of a baby's face. The adjustable sizing is great; easy to fit our smaller little one from a smaller newborn size than most carriers are rated for, and adjust as he grows. Looking forward to using it for a long time to come!
The numerous straps and connectors were a bit daunting and complicated-seeming at first. I wish the instruction booklet had more text in addition to the graphics. But, the online instructional videos made it easy. Practice with a partner to help and you'll soon be using the X strap configuration by yourself. And trading off between parents is easy, as well.
I wish it came with some sort of carrying tote to make it easier to throw in the car for use at a destination, but a reusable grocery bag is perfect for carrying the carrier.
We have four different baby wearing devices - a wrap, a sling, another soft structured carrier and this one. The ergobaby is the only one we actually use - and we use it all the time. It's so much more comfortable and secure than a sling and easier to get baby in and out of than a wrap.
Bottom line: get this carrier!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have had this carrier for ~2 months. My wife and I recently took a trip to Kauai where we went on numerous hikes and used the Adapt carrier (black) to carry our 8 month old daughter in.
Headline message - I like this carrier a lot!
1. Very easy to use - I can easily put my daughter in it by myself
2. Like the rain flap - while hiking in Kauai it rained quite a bit. It was very easy to simply pull out the rain fly (not sure if that's what they call it, but it is a little covering that comes out of the front pocket and can be snapped onto the shoulder straps to provide a rain canopy for the baby) and keep our little one dry. She slept all 3x it rained and hardly seemed perturbed in the least (admittedly she is a pretty easy baby)
3. High quality - overall design and build is very sturdy, lightweight and high quality.
4. Comfortable - had no issues with back/hip discomfort over long stretches. Of course it got a bit hot at times with my little heater attached to my chest, but it is a lighterweight and less hot version of the lillybaby that we also have
5. Functional but not too bulky - I have another baby carrier that is simply too bulky. others seem too light weight or flimsy. This carrier rides the middle ground very well
6. Looks reasonable good - I think I would go for the grey if I re-ordered but black is always functional and hides milk spills well
On the downside...
1. I wish this carrier also functioned for forward facing. My little girl is very curious and would be happier if she could face outwards at times as well instead of being stuck looking at my t-shirt</span>

The Adapt can be used in the front inward, hip and back carry positions. It does not allow for front outward facing.
