However, after about 8 months of using it the video camera in baby&rsquo;s room will not feed to the monitor. Contacted customer service and they were quick to tell me I was out of luck even thou product was just 1 month out of warranty. I tried to explain that I did not use start using products a few months after it was purchased as it was a baby shower gift and we didn't start using it until baby slept in her own room several months later. They did not care. We have not opened the box until our little one was born and we hardly used the monitor, mostly in the weekends. I was able to get paternity leave with my company after my partners time off work. And one day trying to turn it on it didnt work, I started doing some research and having talks with friends who has the same and older model and to my surprise these monitors are defective. I reached out to the group that handles issues with motorola and instead of helping either replace the defective monitor or provide some sort of help, they were quick to tell me it is no longer with the year warranty. I reached back out to them and asked them for just $100 bucks so i can buy a VTECH monitor because i have now more faith in that monitor that Motorola and they are yet to respond. DO NOT BUY THESE MONITORS, THEY ARE OVERPRICED AND DEFECTIVE AND NOT WORTH YOUR OR YOUR FAMILIES HARD EARNED MONEY!!!
