Be careful with the brackets as they can be a bit tricky but otherwise this is a good family game to include a range of ages (which is sometimes hard for my family given the age differences). The whole family has enjoyed playing it, not just our son. It&rsquo;s can be a pretty long game depending on how the egg cracks. I like that because the game has managed to keep our son&rsquo;s sustained attention throughout the duration. I Attribute that due to the sillyness of the chicken. It is both auditory and tactile stimulating. The chicken can squawk rather loudly just like a real chicken laying eggs. Our son has compared it many times to our live chickens in the coop. He enjoys playing the game so much, he even tries to play it with his 9 month old brother. He plays for both of them as our baby just laughs every time the chicken squawks. It&rsquo;s an excellent game that has provided our family with lots of laughs. However, set up wasn't the easiest. The little chick tokens were a pain to push into place and the hen house is difficult to keep closed. Hard to imagine a child getting it to stay closed without help. Even myself as an adult had a hard time closing it. You have to do it just right to get it to stay closed and even then sometimes one side pops open during play. Even with those difficult issues the game was a hit with my kids, ages 9, 6, and 2. They would giggle at the sound the hen makes and were so excited when the egg popped out. If it weren't for the issues noted, I'd probably recommend this game. He loves it. The chicken itself has a fairly noisy squawk which he thinks is great, 17 month old sister, not so sure what to make of that. The game play is simple roll the 6 sided dice with numbers 1-3, good for early counting practice application and it surprises you when it pops the egg out. Be careful to play in wide open clean area, as the egg can pop open and you can lose the game piece inside, as it is smaller than a dime. If the game came with more eggs and added excitement by not knowing if you would receive the chick vs. the egg, it would make it more entertaining and wouldn't require as much resetting. My kids played for a long time, and they enjoy the game. I like how it's good for all ages, since there's no reading required. It was easy enough for my 8-year-old to set up by himself. Cons: The chicken is really loud. It's not so bad in the game, but when it's out of the hen house and can be squeezed at will, it drove me (and the dog) crazy. It also doesn't fit back into the box very easily once it's all assembled. Either a wider box, or a way to store the die inside the game itself, would be helpful. My 5 year old had a hard time resetting the chicken into place after it sqwauked. They had fun playing with it. However they have not really pushed to play it again since the first time they played. They have been drawn to games that were easier for them to play on their own. They did have plenty of fun and laughter moments with this game while they played. However the laughter was interrupted due to reasons stated above. However after a break he has gone back to to several times in the last few days that we had it. In short we enjoyed this very quick and fun game. It was really easy for my 6 year old but still entertaining because it was so silly . The only thing that I found that was a con... it is kinda hard to reset the chicken and the &quot;coop&quot; does not like to stay in place while you are playing. He was super excited! Now he hates it after one time of playing. It says to use the clips to lock the tail in place, then click both sides of the house shut. Well the clips don't lock properly and it makes the house bust open before we can even reset it. So frustrating!
