There is a soft cushion of plastic on the inside near the eyes and nose to make it more comfortable to wear. It is hard plastic but doesn't have any sharp edges. Adjustable elastic strap to fit different sized heads. Fits with the elastic strap around the head, as well as sits on the nose with a nose shape plastic mold inside the mask. Cute to wear for a short time only because it's hefty.
