The products all say for 3 and up but I play with him closely and wanted him to be able to play with his favorite characters. The Jet version of this is great and I don't have to watch anything on that one. This one is great also however the small white propellers on the wings are made of clothe. This would not be problem with an older child but I try to make sure my son doesn't take them off and swallow them. So far they do not seem to come off easily so it does not appear to be an issue but I watch is just in case. When you use the zoom feature it can get off balance easily but over all it works just fine.
