I'm sure that when she plays , she is not going to be following the rules right, or be in highly competitive matches - just unsupervised games with friends and siblings - so I was ok with getting a theme deck even though they are generally not particularly competitive. I hadn't seen a Fairy type deck in quite a while, so was happy to find this for her, but looking closer I found that even though there are about the same amount of Fairy and Fire energies, the Pokemon themselves are more Fire and other types that can take any energy, rather than Fairy types. So, not really what I was looking for. We ended up finding an older set (Battle Arena - Xerneas vs. Yvetal) which comes with a true Fairy type deck and a Darkness type deck, both of which are supposedly more competitive than any theme deck.
