The set includes two of each color, silver, gold, and rose gold, the colors themselves are a bit dull but it's hard to recreate a metallic. All three colors have a fine shimmer throughout the dough plus a small amount of glitter. The texture is the same as normal Playdoh so it's easy to work with. I will warn you that both the glitter and shimmer come off on your hands. Even with playing with it outside and washing hands, we had sparkly faces, arms, and hands. Including those that never even touched the Playdoh. Just a little heads up for those that may not want that extra sparkle in their lives (or homes). The package was pretty and it attracted my daughter to it instantly. Colors we pastel and very dainty. The glitter was also exciting for my daughter. It is just like all the other play-doh compounds that we have purchased. The difference with this one was the cool new colors and the sparkles. After a while of playing, my daughter had sparkles everywhere, including into her eyes. I would recommend this product to those with older children. It irritated her eyes and she loved playing with it, as she loves play-doh, but this was a problem and we had to get rid of it. It was hard to get out of her hands even after washing and bathing. This set was a change from the usual bright colors. I wouldn't necessarily call them metallics however, more like pastels with glitter. The texture and smell are identical to classic playdoh, just with a bit of extra sparklies.
