I only used 1 of the 4 play doh colors at a time as I didn&rsquo;t want the colors to mix. Yet, we had fun making the eggs and having them fall out. He especially enjoyed pushing down on the chicken&rsquo;s head to create the clucking sound along with the play doh feathers. My only recommendation is to be sure to clean off the excess play doh that can get stuck in the nooks before switching colors if you intend not to have them mix. Also do that before putting it away to avoid dried out pieces lingering. How fun to first give our chicken feathers, listening to the sounds, and building eggs for it to lay. Hahaha it shoots eggs out the backside. This made us laugh for hours. I have loved play-doh my whole life and love to share that love with own children as my mother did with me. How it has grown and given so many options over the years. This product is a great quality, fun, and allows for loads of laughter. We worked on colors, sounds, fine motor skills, and coordination. The chicken comes with four Play-Doh colors, and you can use push down on the head to &quot;grow&quot; feathers on its neck, or you can use the feather mold to add feathers. My little guy is fascinated with the egg-laying. Yes, you can make an egg for the chicken to lay, and it will lay the egg. It also makes chicken sounds. While the Play-Doh Animal Crew Cluck-a-Dee Feather Fun Chicken says ages 3+, my daughter still had a fun time. The Play-Doh Animal Crew Cluck-a-Dee Feather Fun Chicken comes with Cluck-a-dee the chicken, a white egg mold, 4 non-toxic Play-Doh colors (red, white, yellowish orange, and a teal color), a yellow feather mold, a blue feather cutter/shaver, and 2 AAA batteries come installed. You can use the feather mold to make a feather and put onto the sides of Cluck-a-Dee to make the wings. On Cluck-a-Dee&rsquo;s tail is another mold where you can put Play-Doh in to make a pattern. You fill the neck with playdoh, place the head in slot and press down. Cluck-a-Dee clucks and feathers sprout out the long neck. My daughter laughed every time Cluck-a-Dee made the funny clucking sounds. She&rsquo;d say, &ldquo;That&rsquo;s hilarious dad.&rdquo; The thing I didn&rsquo;t find very hilarious was when she shaved the neck feathers off; small pieces of Play-Doh would go everywhere. Furthermore, emptying the neck area of Play-Doh was tedious. Play-Doh would stick to the neck crevices. I had to use toothpicks to clean that area out so that feathers would continue to come out when you press the head down. My daughter also enjoyed using the egg mold to shape a Play-Doh egg.
