Do the wheels rotate? And do the roller-skates get dirty easily?

The wheels do rotate, and roll very nicely! The wheels are plastic so pick up a little less dirt than treaded shoe bottoms, but the material of the upper skate is smooth and can be easily wiped down with a damp cloth and soap if necessary (I use hand soap or dish soap, whatever is closer, and just a few drops). If you drop them in a mud puddle it would be fine to hose them down inside and out, with a hose outside or in a sink (and wash as needed). Wipe as dry as you can with a towel, then hang them upside-down to dry. Most OG clothes are washable but these are a special case. The metal makes the skates really durable, and my niece has taken her bunny rollerskating everywhere and not one sign of anything cracking or loosening. The wheel surfaces are very scarred but that's normal for grown-up derby skates too lol.
