Quite a few little pieces but he had no problems putting it together. After building the set it has an interactive feature. It took about 40 minutes to build with my help. The instructions are easy to follow. The pieces are more difficult to snap together than other brands, but they&rsquo;re durable. I also appreciate that the pieces are interchangeable with other brands. The Pok&eacute;mon theme is great and my son loves the moving mechanism. He is excited to continue to play with and add to his Mega Construx collection. Him and his dad built this together and played with it and they both really liked it. It is small, so it might take some time to out together. She opened all the packages and started looking at the construction instructions without me. She made it through a couple of pages before she lost interest. I think it is too much for a 6 year old to concentrate on, maybe just my kid! I finished the construction and it is pretty neat. It has moving parts which is something I had not seen before. All the pieces were included and the assembly was easy for me. My daughter did like it after it was put together, especially the moving parts. She does like to build with just the blocks with no certain pattern. I do need to help taking the pieces apart. They are tiny and fit tightly together. Overall, it&rsquo;s a good block building kit and we have enjoyed it. I can tell myself it&rsquo;s good fine motor practice, following directions, etc and allows him endless imaginative play. I took off a star because some of the instructions aren&rsquo;t quite clear and took some deciphering.
