The little hippo and puppy are super cute and we love how they &ldquo;play&rdquo; peekaboo when interacting with the toys when dumping them down the slide. The animals are cute little characters and I like the little added construction helmet for the animals. It&rsquo;s easy to put together and has been great for my son to work on his fine motor skills. My older children also enjoy playing with the toy alongside my 1 year old. This toy was a good start. Keeps him occupied, you can see him trying to figure things out as he builds with them. He does get frustrated easily if a block won't go on and then he looses interest but I think if he were older he wouldn't loose the interest as fast. The construction truck makes it more than just a set of blocks. When his 5 year old brother plays with him they play like they are at a construction site and the blocks are boulders and dirt. This basic set can make a mini truck and construction site, but can be even more fun by adding on more Mega Bloks. The blocks are very durable, tested by my older child that is 8, sitting on the truck he made and scooting himself around the room.
