It took me 20 years to find a doll I can relate to and one who represents my disability. Marlo to me has the same disabilities as me! Nystagmus astigmatism night blindness depth perception nearsightedness and retinal detachment. So the day she was released I ordered her because I wanted one doll in my lifetime to represent my disabilities. She also already has a best friend ( Maddie With Plush Pup doll ) and her BFF ( best furry friend ) has a best friend of his own! Two! I love how silky and soft her hair is and I love the clothing she wears! The puppy is so cute and I love how the harness hit him ( is it a him?). I haven't tried the harness on other dogs yet - Wait! I have! I know for sure that it fit the basset hound pup and probably others. I like mixing and matching clothing on my dolls and I love that most mixes, matches, and the clothing she comes with easily all fits! It is so cool and so easy for me when I need to quick change her clothes. And sorry I haven't gotten to this yet, but, our generation thank you so much for making a doll that is blind! It is so nice to make dolls for all kinds of people! Thank you so much! This is the best doll ever ever ever! Being blind myself, I've been frustrated at the lack of disability representation in the toy and doll industries. I just received my Marlo today, (in fact, she is next to me as I write this,) and I am soooo happy to have her. Yeah, I know I probably could've just bought a doll that looked like me and said she was blind, but it means more to me to not only have a doll who is already blind, but to also have a company like OG actually make the leap and create Marlo. OK, now that I've gotten that out of the way. I can't say much about the coloring of Marlo or everything she comes with, well... actually, I love that her cane is white and pink, makes me want to get one to match her's. BTW, someone told me the colors of her cane. While we're talking about her cane, I don't mean to complain or knit pick, but it's too short for her. A cane for the blind is supposed to reach to the center of your chest, that way when you hold it out in front of you, it can bump into things way before you do. Like I said, don't mean to complain, I'm just happy she exists at all. I do love how soft her hair is though: also the fact that it's rooted instead of wigged. I feel like it'll stand up to a lot of brushing and styling and won't fall out as much as wigged hair does. I really like the fact that her bow is a mini version of something I might slide into my own hair. Oh, and the natural hair line in the back of her hair, personally, I like that over feeling all the balled spots in the back of a doll's head after I've given her braids or pigtails. I do like the fact that OG dolls hands are open instead of curled like other 18 inch dolls. I would totally wear Marlo's dress, soooo soft!! Her cardigan though... not so much, but that's a me thing. The one thing I will say that took me some getting used too were her plastic booties, but that's a me issue, not OG's. I love how soft and plush her Guide Dog is. I also didn't know, not haveing a Guide Dog myself, that the vest and harness were two pieces, and didn't know about the ID card either. So OG taught me something in creating Marlo. I can't really say much about the sizing of her Guide Dog, as I said before, not having one myself. I do understand that her dog was made the way he was so that the vest and harness could fit the other dogs, so like I said before, I'm just happy Marlo exists at all. I love her sunglasses, I'm actually thinking of crocheting a little case for them. I did find a large scratch just above her right knee, but I figured she bumped into something one day and her leg hasn't healed yet. &quot;Oops, didn't see that there.&quot; LOL.
